#Event #Open Innovation #Startup #International

On Friday 6 March, innovation players came out in droves for the 6th annual edition of the Hacking de l’Hôtel de Ville : 4,000 business meetings during the largest meetup in France, a collaborative workshop on new recruitment challenges, 5 round tables, 24 demos of game-changing innovations …. Startups, corporates, investors, experts and City of Paris officials once again seized the opportunity to build new and lasting business partnerships.

THE annual innovation event in Paris

More than just a meetings venue, the Hacking de l’Hôtel de Ville lets startups leverage new contacts and build partnerships with major corporates, find new clients and potential investors in the framework of its StartUp MeetUp event.

In addition to new business opportunities, the demo space – which showcased 24 projects this year - unveiled landmark innovations that are disrupting the usages and practices of tomorrow. These included innovations from public research facilities, but also visual and experimental solutions from the mobility, food and creative industries. These solutions bring us new perspectives on how to make technical, technological and social accessible to all.

The Hacking de l’Hôtel de Ville is also a great way to learn more about what’s trending in the ecosystem, with several collaborative workshops and round tables. Startups, experts and major corporate players examined our sustainability models in fishbowl sessions, taking a closer look at the future challenges of the Métropole du Grand Paris; a series of round table discussions addressed the new horizons of retro innovation.

2020 edition – spotlight on low tech and retro tech

We placed retro tech and low tech at the heart of this year’s edition, making them the common thread of our 6th edition. The role of innovation players like Paris&Co is to help entrepreneurs fully anticipate the challenges of the necessary fight against climate change: they must seize the opportunity to innovate in new ways!” said Paris&Co CEO Loïc Dosseur.

An event that showcases the economic influence of Paris

Co-organized by Paris City Hall and Paris&Co, the innovation and economic development agency of Paris and its metropolitan area, the Hacking de l’Hôtel de Ville is now a major event on the international innovation scene, bringing together nearly 100 nationalities this year.

The Hacking de l’Hôtel de Ville is organized in partnership with the Métropole du Grand Paris and sponsored by Elior Group, Orange, Pôle Emploi and Startway.
